Common Causes of Chronic Pelvic Pain You Shouldn’t Ignore

 Chronic pelvic pain is a long-lasting discomfort in the lower abdomen or pelvic region that can affect daily life, intimacy, and emotional well-being. It often develops gradually and may have more than one underlying cause, which is why it is frequently misdiagnosed or left untreated. One common cause is pelvic floor muscle tension, where tight or overactive muscles lead to aching, burning, and pain during intercourse or urination. Gynaecological conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, or painful periods are also major contributors. Bladder-related issues, including recurrent urinary tract infections, painful bladder syndrome, or interstitial cystitis, can cause persistent pelvic discomfort.
